The Madonnas of Pervyse with their dog Shot
The bronze statue of The Madonnas of Pervyse and their dog Shot.
The statue shows Mairi Chisholm and her friend Elsie Knocker with their dog "Shot" and is located in Ypres nor far from Pervyse where they performed much of their volunteer work duing the Great War.
This was created
to coincide with centenary commemorations which took place in 2014.
The monument was designed by the renowned local sculptor Josiane Vanhoutte, and
more information on the project can be found in a document prepared by the author Diane Atkinson who has also written a book on their heroic efforts.
